After all you need to be comfortable with your Abaya as it is part of your modest dressing. Let’s discuss each Abayas fabric one by one so that you choose the best Abaya which optimally suits your individual requirements.

Nida or Nada

This is the most Popular of Abaya Fabrics not only in Pakistan but all over the World. Especially this material is primarily used for Abayas available in Saudi Arabia and UAE. This Fabric is made from Polyester which is light weight, opaque and elegant at the same time making it a perfect choice for Hot Climatic conditions. There are various versions of Nida  the only difference the weight of Fabric. Light weight Nida is used in Hot weather while medium weight can be used for sub-tropical climate. Pure Crepe 

Crepe is a kind of fabric which has twisted weaves in it which gives this high quality fabric a textured feeling. Most important benefit of this fabric is its ability to resist creasing. This fabric is also being used to make other garment pieces. It has good drape and Abayas looks modest and give good coverage.

Linen

Basically Linen is a fabric made from fiber extracted from Flax Plant and is much stronger and robust then cotton fabric. That is the reason for employing it to make Abayas which has good drape and excellent quality. Another quality of Linen is its good insulation capabilities that make it an excellent Abaya for summer season

Chiffon

Chiffon is a light weight, elegant and soft textured fabric but at the same time it is a bit transparent therefore you cannot use Chiffon fabric as Abaya without employing a suitable lining underneath. Chiffon is not a natural fiber rather it is made of polyester. Abayas made with Chiffon fabric are quite Flowy and gives you a glamorous look

Jersey

Jersey is a stretch material and being used for making various kinds of dresses. People have also started using Jersey material for Abaya but these do not really look good as this material attaches itself with your body and purpose of covering your body with Abayas is compromised in Abayas made with Jersey Cloth. Georgette

Georgette is another artificial material made of polyester just like Chiffon but is a little more rugged then Chiffon and also is much more opaque then Chiffon. Due to its good drape it is a good choice for Abaya
